I HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU BUT ACTORS WORK FOR MONEY JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. GOING OUT ON A LIMB, I’M GOING TO SAY THAT WHAT WENT THROUGH MIMI ROGERS’ MIND WHEN SHE WAS APPROACHED ABOUT BEING ON THE X-FILES WAS NOT, “WHAT WILL THE FANS THINK?” IT WAS MORE LIKE, “HOW MUCH WILL I BE PAID?” POSSIBLY WITH A SIDE OF, “THIS WILL BE GOOD FOR MY CAREER,” AND/OR, “IT WILL BE NICE WORKING WITH DAVID DUCHOVNY AGAIN.”
That’s exactly how I see this, confessionsxfconfessions. This was a good part for her, too. As previously noted, significant roles for middle-aged women are less than abundant. Rogers came back for several appearances as a recurring character. What’s not to love?
